FORT DODGE — After eliminating previously unbeaten Sioux City Heelan, 5-4, last week, the Spencer Tiger ladies knocked off defending state champion’s Columbus Catholic in tennis at Dodger Tennis Courts in Fort Dodge, Saturday. The 5-1 win came entirely in without a doubles match being played.

“We are still on our journey,” Spencer coach Bob Schlaeger summarized.

He called the dominant performance a “great win against the best in Iowa.”
