Golfers get past Cherokee on the road

CHEROKEE ― Ten strokes separated Spencer on the road as the boys golf team traveled Cherokee, Thursday, where they topped the Braves 161-171.

“Conditions were a bit tougher tonight because of the wind, but we were still able to gut out a win in our first conference meet of the year,” Tiger coach Marc Bruning said.

AJ Stanley shot an even par 36, securing his second medalist honor in as many meets, and his running mate Easton Beehler.
