SPIRIT LAKE — According to Spencer coach Bob Schlaeger, mindset had as much to do with the Tiger girls tennis loss to traditional Lakes Conference powerhouse Spirit Lake-Okoboji Monday evening, as did the Indians’ play. The home squad downed Spencer, 6-3.

“We played not to lose,” Schlaeger said, diagnosing the loss. “Our approach to the game gave it to them before we even played.”
