This weekend, the city of Spencer was cast into an unprecedented emergency that destroyed the homes, businesses and livelihoods of many of its citizens. Flood waters rose to encompass nearly all of south Spencer and downtown and residential areas adjacent to the river in north Spencer.

Emergency services have been working around the clock to keep the citizens safe and out of harm’s way.
