Upper Des Moines-Clay County and the Spencer Chamber of Commerce announced an opportunity for businesses to donate to the UDMO Food Pantry, with a goal of raising $20,000. This fundraising effort is led by an anonymous donation valued at $2,000; and with participation from other local businesses, $7,000 has been raised to date. The campaign, nicknamed “Help Cook Our Pig,” is a reference to over 400 pork loins that have been donated to the food pantry.
