She passed away Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, at Hiawatha Care Center in Cedar Rapids.

Dennis H. Johnson, 82, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away Feb. 8, 2024, at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln. He was born May 27, 1941, to Esther Margaret Pearson Johnson and Harold O. Johnson in Schaller, Iowa. He grew up on a farm and had many good memories of farm life and fishing on nearby lakes with his parents. His family lived on a farm with a creek where he and his friends camped and caught fish. His dad was “an Oliver man” meaning he used Oliver tractors for farm work.

Virginia Lee “Ginger” Kline was born in Spencer on Sept. 3, 1943. One of three daughters of Millard “Wilson” and Margaret (Follon) Drury, she grew up on the family farm north of Everly along with her sisters, Rita and Frankie. She attended school in Everly, graduating from Everly High School with the class of 1961. During her school years, Ginger enjoyed sports, playing organ for their church and had a fondness for all sorts of animals. She had a big heart, a great smile and loved life.

Happy memories comfort us, as David Spenst, joined his Heavenly Father and family this week. David Spenst passed away on Jan, 15, 2024.

He was born on April 27, 1929, to Peter and Aganetha (Nettie Friesen) Spenst in Morden, Manitoba, Canada.

He was the oldest of five sisters, Berniece, Amy, Mary, Vivian and Annette and a brother, James.
