Julie Kay Brandt, 63, of Marion, died on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, from complications of leukemia. Her survivors include her husband, Blake Brandt; daughter, Molly Brandt of Minneapolis, Minnesota; brother, Steve Winther, of Midland, Texas; parents, Merlyn and Sonna Winther of Spencer; and niece and nephew, Sierra and Jordan, of Midland, Texas.

Funeral services for Marjorie Perren, 90, of Spencer, will be conducted from 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Rev. Dale Hodges will officiate the service. Visitation will be conducted one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Perren passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at her home in Spencer. Kathryn Joann Wede, the daughter of Emert and Kathryn (Schoelerman) Schoenewe was born April 1, 1937, in Spencer. Her childhood years were spent in the Everly area where she attended school and graduated from Everly High School in 1955.

Funeral services for Jean Ann Paulsen, 87, of Emmetsburg, formerly of Spencer, will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Emmetsburg. Rev. Peter Morlock will officiate the service. Visitation will be conducted beginning at 4 p.m., Thursday, at the church, with family present from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be at Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bethany Lutheran Sunday School in Emmetsburg.

Mary, the daughter of Joe A. and Jennie Lou (Stone) Barger, was born Jan. 18, 1929 in Edgewood. Her childhood years were spent in Edgewood, where she received her education, graduating in 1945. She later moved to Spencer.

Joyce Keller, 73, passed away at Sanford Health on Jan. 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Mass of Christian burial took place at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at St. Therese Catholic Church with a burial and luncheon to follow.

Andrew Stanislaus Kondrath, 97, of Spirit Lake, passed away on Jan. 15, 2023, at Accura Healthcare of Milford. Services will be 10 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel in Fort Dodge. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m., Monday, at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

Wesley Paul Vogel, 67, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away at his home on Dec. 9, 2022. He was born June 8, 1955, in Storm Lake to Roy E. and Janice E. (Chindlund) Vogel.

Larry Rex Letz, 86, of Waukee, formerly from Spencer, passed away Jan. 9, 2023.

Larry was born Nov. 30, 1936, in rural Dallas County to Donald and Mildred (White) Letz. He graduated from Earlham High School in 1954. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and served two years in Germany.

Services for John Burton Muetzel, 73, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at First English Lutheran Church, in Spencer. Rev. Paul Kaldahl will officiate the service. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.
