SPENCER — Powered by Morningside College recruit Lauren Ellis’ No. 1 singles title run; and the Spencer No. 1 doubles team of Jenna Bennet and Kennedy Graettinger’s runner-up finish, the Tigers would recapture the Denny Price Trophy, returning it home after winning the team’s home tournament Saturday.

Bob Schlaeger, Spencer head coach, called the win a “great showing of our girls. They earned team first place overall, the first time in the six years of this tournament.”
