ALGONA — Despite the less than ideal conditions — and that’s an understatement — Spencer’s girls proved themselves 13 strokes better than Algona on the Bulldogs home course Thursday to close out the regular season schedule.

“It was a windy day at River Road Golf course in Algona, but the girls battled and played well for the conditions,” Spencer girls coach Nate Wendt said. “The scores do not necessarily indicate how well they played.”
