IOWA CITY — Three Spencer boys swimmers wrapped up individual competition on day one of the IHSAA Swim Meet at the University of Iowa’s campus Recreation and Wellness Center. While none of the young men, all seeded in the 20s of their respective event, managed to qualify for the finals, first-year coach Jesse Kuehler was pleased with what he saw.
