Kenneth was born to Richard and Darlene Hample on Jan. 26, 1958, Kenneth spent his childhood in the Jackson area enjoying his time hunting and fishing and going to his grandparents’ cabin on Lake Winnibigoshish. Kenneth joined the United States Marine Corp and this was one of his proudest times in his life. After returning home, Kenneth worked at the Hample’s store in Jackson becoming a HVAC technician specializing in commercial refrigeration. Kenneth was an excellent fisherman, as he fished tournaments for a couple of years and wrote a book about good fishing spots in the Iowa Great Lakes. Kenneth was an avid deer hunter after obtaining at least two Pope and Young legends, then he began bow hunting as he continued to bow hunting until he was no longer able to hunt.
