Lady Tigers suffer first setback

SPENCER — The normally explosive Spencer girls soccer team, ranked eighth in the state, was shutdown and shutout by No. 2 powerhouse Sioux City Heelan, 5-0, Thursday night at the Tigers’ Northwest Iowa Soccer Complex. The Crusaders scored three in the first half and added a pair to top things off in the final 40 minutes in their road win. Trelyn White got the hat trick, scoring three, while teammate Maddie LaFleur was credited with three assists.
