The Clay County Pork Producers announced four local seniors received scholarships for 2024-25. Lucas Elser, of Spencer High School, son of Tim and Colette Elser of Webb, was the 2024 Pork Ambassador and will be attending Northwest Community College to study industrial and commercial wiring. Jack Berends, of Spencer High School, son of Jon and Nicole Berend of Everly, will be attending Iowa State University to study agricultural studies.
