The process of removing approximately 30 ash trees in the area by Sunset Park will begin Monday, Nov. 14, due to the arrival of the emerald ash borer. The Spencer Parks Department sent out a letter to residents in Prospect Lane, Pleasant Lane and West Lane between West Fifth Street and West Seventh Street on Nov. 1, alerting them to the tree’s scheduled removal.
