PETERSON — A Clay County deputy made contact with Norman Escalera, 47, of Peterson, Thursday morning at Third and Main streets in Peterson.

Escalera had a warrant out of Will County, Illinois, for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and found to be in possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
