Purple graduation caps were launched into the air and landed scattered across the Spencer field house floor after SHS Senior Class President Evan Johnson introduced the class of 2002 for the final time during commencement ceremonies. Rascal Flatt’s “Life is a Highway” boomed from the speakers as the newly named graduates exited the gymnasium Sunday afternoon — now Spencer alumni.
