Sioux Rapids man faces felony charges after fleeing police

A Clay County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop Benjamin Schroeder, 40, in the 100 block of West Second Street at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday. Schroeder allegedly fled from the deputy and was located in 200 block of West Second Street. Once located, Schroeder reportedly refused to comply with officers and was placed under arrest. Upon searching Schroeder, marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located.
