United Way held its kickoff event for the year at Grand Avenue Community Outreach on Wednesday morning. Several local nonprofit agencies attended the kickoff to learn more about the organization and receive the assistance and information they applied for.

“The goal of the kick off is to give everybody their packets, but then to also have a couple of the groups that we are supporting highlight their particular missions,” Levi Morris, United Way board member, said.
