Jane's journey was marked by significant academic achievements culminating in a master's degree in occupational therapy from Drake University. Her commitment to supporting the rights of the disabled led her to become the director of the ARC of Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she tirelessly worked to create a more inclusive and compassionate community.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Jane cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, epitomizing kindness, understanding, and unwavering support. She dearly loved her granddaughters, Abigail of Sioux Center, Iowa, and Ainsley of San Antonio, Texas.

Jane's husband, James, was her best friend and soulmate. Together they created a home filled with warmth, laughter and humor. She was a wonderful mother to Paul (Kimberley) of San Antonio, and Patrick, formerly of Omaha, Nebraska. She longed to be reunited with Patrick, who preceded her in death in 2007, a loss that remained deeply felt throughout her life.

Her family celebrates Jane’s life and the profound impact she had on those around her. Her legacy of compassion, advocacy and love elevated everyone who knew her. Hers was a life well-lived.
