Graveside services for Kenneth Eugene Wright will be conducted for 10 a.m, Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, at the Oakland Cemetery in Manchester, Iowa.

Kenneth, the son of Peter and Hazel (Davis) Wright, was born on May 9, 1948, in Manchester. He received his early education in Manchester and attended West Delaware High School where he graduated. After high school he entered into the military on Dec. 29, 1966, serving in the U.S. Army. He was honorably discharged on Dec. 16, 1969.

After his military service, he returned to Manchester and then attended Gates College in Waterloo. Upon graduation, he worked as an accountant for Home Builder Company in Waterloo. He moved to the construction part of the business where he built trusses. When the company relocated to Haines City, Florida, he moved there and worked there for 20 years, and then moved back to Manchester.

Kenneth passed away on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, at the Cherokee Specialty Care in Cherokee at the age of 76.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Dale and Darrell.

Left to cherish his memory are his three siblings and their families: Russell Wright of Spencer, Willis Wright of Central City, and Becky Syndergaard of Council Bluffs; other relatives and friends.
