Randy Ray Davis, 63, passed away on June 19, 2024, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born on June 18, 1961, in Spencer, Randy spent his formative years in the community, attending Spencer Community Schools and graduating from Spencer High School.

After high school, Randy briefly worked in Tennessee before moving to the vibrant state of Colorado, where he would spend the majority of his life. He also lived for a short period in Melbourne, Florida. Throughout his career, Randy was dedicated to his work in pipe fitting at HPE in Colorado Springs, a job that he worked at for 17 years.

Randy was a kind-hearted individual who loved the outdoors. He was passionate about motorcycle riding, often exploring the scenic routes of Colorado Springs with his wife, Tahlene. Camping was another of Randy's favorite activities, especially in the mountains of Colorado — a love he passed down to his children. Additionally, Randy cherished the memories created at Lake Okoboji, Iowa, where he enjoyed boating and camping with his family during many summers.

Apart from his hobbies, Randy dedicated time to volunteering at a soup kitchen in downtown Colorado Springs, where he made lasting friendships and contributed positively to the community. He was a devout attendee of a church in Melbourne, Florida, during his time there, embracing his faith with enthusiasm. Randy also loved dogs, and he loved and cared for six dogs during his adult life. Three of the dogs were rescues from the Humane Society.

Randy is survived by his loving wife, Tahlene Davis; his son, Chad (Clara) Davis; his daughter, Christine Davis; and his grandchildren, Conrad and Ronan Davis, all residing in Colorado. He also leaves behind his parents, Gloria (Orlie) Utley and Ray Davis of Spencer; his sisters, Rhonda (Dave) Kubik of Dubuque, and Jeannie (Kevin) Staples of Spencer; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of Randy’s life will be held at a later date, honoring a man who deeply impacted his community and loved ones with his generosity and spirited personality.
