Shirley Ellen Crawmer

Shirley Ellen (Pieper) Crawmer, 66, of Spencer, formerly of Jackson, Minnesota, was born to Charles and Audrey (Rowe) Pieper on Feb. 26, 1958, in Spirit Lake. She entered her eternal life on Aug. 23, 2024, at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her family.
She was united and marriage to Marc W. Crawmer on Nov. 15, 1980. They had three children: Jean, Trin and Travis.
Shirley graduated from Jackson High School. She attended and graduated from Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon. In the electrical program. She worked as an electrician for KW Electric and as electrical maintenance for Wild Rose Casino and Emmetsburg. She retired in April 2023.
Shirley enjoyed time spent with family and friends, especially at the infamous cousin’s reunion. She loved relaxing at a good fishing hole and all things nature.
Shirley is survived by daughter, Jean (Todd) Bredehoeft, of Spencer; sons: Trin (Lindsay) Crawmer, of Clarinda, and Travis Crawmer, of Lafayette, Oregon; grandchildren: Dalton (Carly) Bredehoeft, Mercedes (Jon) Hegel, Tanya (Jacob) Vos, Cheyenne Manwarren, Zane Crawmer, Olivia Hayes and Rebecca Crawmer; special granddaughter, Krystal Luna; great-grandchildren: Reghan and Jamison Hegel, Wesley and Willow Bredehoeft, and Dean Vos; father, Charles Pieper, of Estherville; brothers: Carl (Karen) Pieper, of Frazee, Minnesota; Bob (Lana) Metli Ault, of Colorado; sisters: Carrie (Larry) Johnson, of Estherville, Audra (Rod) Sowles, of Brewster, Minnesota, and Loralei (Gene) Robinson; sister-in-law, Barb Pieper, of Windom, Minnesota; godchildren: Jason Beckman (nephew) and Kadee Newkirk (niece); many nieces, nephews and fur baby Bailey.
She is proceeded in death by Marc; mother, Audrey Pieper; grandparents: Dean and Viola Rowe, and Charlie and Ruby Pieper; brothers, Clancy and Hank Pieper; sister-in-law, Sheri; and brother-in-law, Scott.
The family would like to give a special thank you to St. Croix Hospice for their wonderful care given to Shirley.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024, at the United Methodist Church in Jackson. There will be a visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.
