He passed away peacefully at Ava’s House Hospice in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on May 10, 2023.

Jeanne Rae Reimers, 83, of Cromwell, Connecticut, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2022. Jeanne was born on Oct. 26, 1938, in Spencer the daughter of Lloyd and Loretta Iverson.

Jeanne loved spending time with her family and her fur babies, reading, being by the ocean and enjoying lobster rolls.

She is survived by her husband, four children, three grandchildren, four great-grandsons and her brother.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Capt. Bruce Warner, husband, father, scripturalist, scientist, businessman, fisherman and friend, went home to be with his heavenly father on May 4, 2023.

Marlyn the daughter of Vern and Lilly (Struve) was born on Sept. 22, 1927, in Clay County west of Rossie. She was raised near Rossie and attended school there, graduating in 1945 from Rossie High School.

Jay Edwin Willfong, 69, of Sioux Rapids, died Dec. 13, 2022, at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen.

Michael “Mike” Modlin, 73, retired industrial technology teacher and coach at Walnut CSD, Denison CSD, Spencer CSD, Central Dallas of Minburn CSD, Johnston CSD and Waukee CSD, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023, of cancer. He also coached with the Perry High School and Dallas Center High School wrestling programs during his long career. Michael was an educator for 41 years and an IHSAA official for over 20 years.
