Wayne R. Trigger, 89, of Spencer passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 4 p.m. at Emerald Hills Golf Course in Okoboji. Military funeral honors will be conducted by the American Legion Timpe Post 23 of Spirit Lake. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake.

Funeral services for Ethel Schmidt, 92, of Spencer, at 10 a.m., on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. Ethel passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023, at St. Luke Lutheran Home of Spencer. Following the funeral services at the funeral home, there will be lunch served at St. Lukes.

Funeral services for LaVonne Lois Rebhuhn, 90, of Spencer, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 24, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, of Spencer. Rev. Renae Behrends will officiate the service. Visitation will be one hour before the services at the church. Interment will be conducted at Summit Hill Cemetery in Pochontas. LaVonne passed away Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at Bickford of Marion Assisted Living.

On Friday, April 7, 2023, we lost a good one! William “Bill” Harold Griggs passed away of congested heart failure. He was 87. Bill is now reunited with the love of his life and one of the sweetest gals around, his wife Shirley, as well as his father Harold and his mother Geneva.

Graveside services will be held for Roger Faulkender, will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the Langdon cemetery in Fairview, rural Spencer. Lunch and fellowship will be to immediately follow at the Langdon United Methodist Church.

Joel E. Schoning, 70, of Bemidji, Minnesota, died Sunday, April 9, 2023, at his home. A visitation and celebration of life will be held from noon to 1 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2023, at Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Bemidji, Minnesota. A celebration luncheon will be held after the service at a location to be announced.

Private family services will be held for Joy "Janelle" Fredin, 93, of Milford.

Joy passed away April 10, 2023, at Accura Healthcare in Milford.

Janelle was born July 4, 1929, near Kirkman, to Nels C. Jacobsen and Faye L. (Gaer) Jacobsen. She graduated from Kirkman High School in 1946 and attended Iowa State Teacher’s College in Cedar Falls. She was united in marriage to William Bruce Fredin on Dec. 28, 1949, at Kirkman.
