Funeral services for Javan Keith Kruse, 37, of Hartley, formerly of Everly, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal. Rev. Mark Wilms will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Friday, at the church.The family encouraged everyone attending to wear Iowa State Cyclone gear in honor of Javan. Raymond L. Kassel, 96, of Nevada, Iowa, passed away Monday, No. 28, 2022, at Story County Senior Care in Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother, Warren Kassel.

Raymond is survived by his three children; two grandchildren: Brian (Michelle) Dunblazier and their four children, and Megan (Ryan) Pickard; and a great-granddaughter, Kennedy (Jared) Warne and their daughter.

Danny Joseph Dobbins, a Navy veteran and longtime resident of Littleton, North Carolina, passed away on Nov. 15, 2022, in Richmond, Virginia, with his loving family by his side.

Danny was born Sept. 6, 1957, to Donald and Lauralee (Cogdill) Dobbins in Spencer. He attended Spencer High School (Class of 1975) before enlisting in the U.S. Navy.
