Graveside services for Kenneth Eugene Wright will be conducted for 10 a.m, Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, at the Oakland Cemetery in Manchester, Iowa.

Kenneth, the son of Peter and Hazel (Davis) Wright, was born on May 9, 1948, in Manchester. He received his early education in Manchester and attended West Delaware High School where he graduated. After high school he entered into the military on Dec. 29, 1966, serving in the U.S. Army. He was honorably discharged on Dec. 16, 1969.

Memorial services for Jody Rinken, 63, of Lufkin, will be held at a later date.

Rinken was born on Sunday, Feb. 5, 1961, in Iowa City, and died on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, at her residence.

Delmar Roy Brockshus, 85, of Spencer, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, at his home. Delmar Roy Brockshus was born on June 13, 1939 in Hartley to parents Louis A. Brockshus and Lilly G. (Lange) Brockshus. Del grew up at May City and attended country schools there until the seventh grade. He then attended school in Hartley graduating in 1957.

Funeral services for Mary Alice (Blum) Baedke, 85 of Savage, Minnesota, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2024. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday evening at the First English Lutheran Church in Spencer. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Terril. She passed away Oct. 12, 2024, at her residence.

A memorial gathering for Verlyn Kramer, 94, of Fostoria, will be conducted from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, at the Warner Funeral Home in Everly. Private Family Burial will be held at Memory Gardens in Spirit Lake. Kramer passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer. Darwin Jay Winkowitsch was born in Rock Rapids on June 2, 1953. He was the son of Kenneth and Kathryn (Cassens) Winkowitsch. Darwin was the oldest of five siblings including Dawn, Janice, Mary, and Daniel. The family lived at George, Iowa; Eagle Grove, Minnesota; Allendorf, Iowa; and Round Lake, Minnesota, before moving to Sibley in 1967. Darwin graduated from Sibley High School in 1971.

Richard Charles Marker, 79, of Maynard, Minnesota, died Sept. 29, 2024, at home surrounded by family.

He loved God, family, country and life.

Sandyann Twetten (née Story) passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Oct. 5, 2024, after a brief, valiant struggle with heart disease.

Ann Marie (Witte) Myers, 75, of Winter Park, Florida, formerly of Spencer, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Advent Health in Winter Park following a lengthy illness.

Ann was born on July 13, 1949, in Independence to Fred and Shirley (Kuper) Witte. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith.

Richard “Kip" Folsom was a unique soul who entered this world on March 21, 1951, and departed on Oct. 3, 2024, after a brief illness.

Kip was born and raised in Spencer, the son of Dr. Richard Folsom and Patricia McVicker Folsom. He enjoyed many summers at nearby Lake Okoboji, riding his bike to the city swimming pool enjoying life in Spencer and attending Spencer Public Schools.

Memorial services for Gerald Koester, 93, of Spencer, will be at 2 p.m., Saturday Oct. 12, 2025, at Bethany Lutheran Church, in Spencer. Visitation will be half-hour before the service at the church. Memorial services will be conducted at Swede Valley Lutheran Cemetery in Ogden. Koester passed away July 1, 2024, at Westview Care Center in Britt. Jerry Ann Scott, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, at St. Luke Lutheran Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation for Jerry will be Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Spencer. A light luncheon will follow.

Born on New Year's Day in 1934 in Van Wert, Ohio, she was a cherished daughter of Harold L. and Eva G. (Smith) Halliwill.

He passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at Vista Prairie at Fieldcrest, in Sheldon.

Funeral services for Charles Wedley Watkins, 81, of Spencer, will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer. The Rev. Kevin Richter will officiate the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer. He passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, at Hartley Community Memorial Health.
