Richard Lee Holmberg

Richard Lee Holmberg, 72, formerly of Spencer, passed away on Jan. 7, 2025, in Boise, Idaho. Richard was born on Dec. 31, 1952, in Spencer, to Dean and Sylvia Holmberg. He graduated from Spencer Community Schools in 1971.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; his first wife, Patricia (Lamb) Holmberg; a grandson, Justin Huberg; and a great-grandson, Braden Huberg.
He is survived by his second wife, Debra (Holloway) Holmberg; one sister, Jeannette (Lawrence) Swenson; four nieces, Heather (Brian) Benson, Erin (Shawn) Johnson, Kayce (Landon) Meyer and Andrea Swenson; 20 great-nieces and nephews; members of Pat’s family whom he always loved as his own; and many other family members and friends.
There will be a short graveside ceremony on March 15, 2025, at the Dickens Cemetery at noon. Following that, there will be a celebration of life at the Oneota Park Shelter House where we can share memories and lunch.
