Late night thriller

MASON CITY — A late start and weather delays couldn’t stymie the offensive output in Friday’s matchup between Spencer and Mason City. In the end, the Tigers ground control offense outlasted the host Riverhawks high octane aerial assault, allowing Spencer to claim the 37-29 win to even its early season mark at 1-1. Spencer’s power back Adrian Carrillo and quarterback Riley DeWitt both topped the century rushing mark and each scored a pair of touchdowns in the win.
