Spencer girls golfers on top

SPENCER ― Monday, Spencer proved 23 strokes better than runner-up Algona in girls golf, hosting a wide field, at the Spencer Golf & Country Club.

“It was a great day for golf and the girls took advantage of the low wind and nice temps for the invite on Monday,” Spencer coach Nate Wendt said.

Once again, Morgan Irvine led the competitors with an 18-hole, 82, Monday in tourney action. She bested the runner-up by two strokes.
