ALTA — Sioux Central coach Chris Wildeman said the Rebels road match at Alta-Aurelia was Thursday was a good sign for the boys golf team.

Wildeman said the squad “played our best round of the year. Hope we continue to build on this round.”

Sioux Central posted a 185, led by Carter Smith’s 44. Other scoring rounds were turned in by Jacob Gunderson, 45; Boden Bright, 46; and Reid Anderson, 50.

Wildeman called the 185 a “good team effort.”
